茶杓
The chashaku bamboo spoon (茶杓) is used to scoop matcha powder. It has a particular Japanese look and feel to it. Sharpening it was done with fine bamboo. Scrub until the surface is smooth and free of markings; do not consume the tea powder. 1 – 1.5 grams of tea can be scooped with one spoon.
