To ensure your matcha powder remains fresh and maintains its quality, please follow these storage recommendations:
1.Use an Aluminum Foil Bag: Store matcha powder in its aluminum foil bag and keep it in the refrigerator. If the powder has not been opened for more than a month, you may store it in the freezer.
2. Acclimate to Room Temperature: Before opening the bag, let it sit at room temperature for 15-30 minutes. This step prevents moisture from forming inside the bag due to temperature differences. Ensure the bag reaches room temperature before opening to avoid condensation.
3. Seal Properly: Remove as much air as possible from the bag before sealing it tightly. This helps prevent moisture and odor from affecting the matcha. Always seal the bag well before storing it in the refrigerator.
4. Avoid Light Exposure: Protect matcha powder from both sunlight and artificial light, as exposure can cause it to deteriorate quickly. Store it in an opaque container rather than a clear jar or glass bottle to prevent light exposure.
You can find the “best before” date on the packaging. We recommend using the matcha powder within 4 months after opening for optimal quality. If stored correctly, it can remain fresh for up to 6 months or more. While the matcha powder may not spoil, its quality may gradually decline over time. You might notice a change in color, aroma, and taste. This is because, although the tea leaves are steamed at high temperatures to prevent oxidation, exposure to heat, humidity, and oxygen can cause the powder to lose its vibrant green color and aroma, transitioning to a yellowish hue similar to how regular leaves change color.
Our products are available in four sizes: 40 grams, 100 grams, 500 grams, and 1 kilogram. Each size is securely packaged in high-quality aluminum foil bags designed to protect against moisture, light, and air. The bags feature a convenient ziplock closure for ease of use and optimal storage.
1. Unopened Red Bean Paste: Store the unopened bag in a dry place away from direct sunlight, at temperatures not exceeding 50°C (122°F). Refrigeration is not necessary for unopened bags.
2. Opened Red Bean Paste: After opening, ensure the bag is sealed tightly and refrigerate it (freezing is not required). Use a clean spoon to scoop out the paste and secure the bag with a clip to avoid contamination from mold. Red bean paste should be consumed within approximately 7 days after opening. Homemade red bean paste generally starts to spoil within 2 days.
3. Product Characteristics: Our red bean paste is free from preservatives, flour, and vegetable oil, and is processed with high heat to ensure safety. While it may be more challenging to store compared to products with preservatives, it remains safe for consumers.
